*Urgent Need: We need your help providing warm coats to clients in the coming months. Please shop our wishlists below or donate new or gently used, adult-sized coats for the upcoming winter season.
Care for Real accepts clothing and personal care donations at 5840 N. Broadway. Due to our food distribution schedule, donations are accepted at our main entrance on the southeast corner of the building off the parking lot from 1-3pm Sunday through Friday.
If these hours do not work for you, please e-mail info@careforreal.org to set up a drop off appointment.
Care for Real accepts donations of non-perishable foods, full-sized toiletries, unopened and unexpired dog and cat food, reusable bags, clean plastic and paper bags, Black hair care products, menstruation products, diapers, formula, baby wipes, paper towels, toilet paper, and more.
We do not accept out of season clothing, toys, open/expired food, housewares including furniture, bedding, towels, dishes, etc, electronics, toys, or books. Please do not leave donations outside the door when we are closed.
Care for Real relies on the generosity of neighbors and the efforts of dedicated volunteers to distribute food four days a week and offer other essential items to clients. Please view the important reminders below about what Care for Real can and cannot accept. We also have an Amazon Wish List, Target Wish List and a Chewy Wish List for pet food that are updated regularly with our most needed items.
