CARE FOR REAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR POSITION, ROGERS PARK POP-UP LOCATION
Reports to: Director of Operations
Date: June 2020
Status: Non-exempt hourly position: part-time (20 hours per week) and temporary (through August 2020)
Manage packing, distribution, and all other operational aspects of the Rogers Park Pop-Up pantry, including:
- coordinating workflow
- recruiting and scheduling volunteers
- training and supervising volunteers
Maintain the physical environment according to CFR standards for cleanliness and order
Receive, sort, store, and handle all items (food & non-food) per established CFR standards
Implement and supervise the proper usage of cleaning products, equipment, and procedures for the assigned cleaning tasks at your location.
Drive the van to pick up and drop off from/to donors & facilities.
Ability to work 20 hours per week
Clean driving record
Ability to lift 40 lb with a full range of motion in bending, lifting and general movement.
Organized, detail-oriented and have excellent follow-up skills
Experienced in managing priorities, deploying volunteers and making sound choices.
Willing to learn from peers and staff to continuously improve the operations.
Have demonstrated experience using Windows-based computer programs.
Preferred proficiency in Spanish or other languages commonly spoken in Rogers Park such as Serbo-Croation, Yiddish, Chinese or Russian.
The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
