Hunger Action Month

September is Hunger Action Month and Care for Real is uniting with food banks nationwide to urge individuals to help end hunger in our communities.

According to Feeding America and the USDA, 13.1 children in the United States live in food insecure households. Although food insecurity is harmful to any individual, it can be particularly devastating among children due to increased likelihood of long-term consequences such as developmental and behavioral challenges, health issues, and a greater risk of school truancy and tardiness.
